Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of MLForge's website and training services. By accessing our platform or enrolling in courses, you agree to be bound by these terms and our privacy policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services. MLForge reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, with changes taking effect upon posting to this page. Continued use of our services after modifications constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
1. Definitions
"Service" refers to machine learning engineering training courses provided by MLForge, including online platform access, course materials, and related educational resources.
"User" means any person accessing our website or platform, including prospective students, enrolled students, and website visitors.
"Content" includes all text, code, images, videos, documentation, and materials provided through our platform or courses.
"We/Us/Our" refers to MLForge, a training organization operating in Singapore.
"Student" means an individual enrolled in one or more MLForge training courses.
2. Eligibility and Account Requirements
Age Requirements
Users must be at least 18 years of age to access our services. By using MLForge platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age.
Account Responsibility
When creating an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining confidentiality of account credentials
- All activities occurring under your account
- Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access
- Ensuring contact information remains current
Technical Prerequisites
Students must have appropriate technical background for enrolled courses. Course prerequisites are specified in course descriptions. MLForge may assess technical competency before enrollment confirmation to ensure students can benefit from training.
3. Course Enrollment and Payment
Enrollment Process
Course enrollment becomes binding upon payment confirmation. Students receive enrollment confirmation via email with course access details, schedule information, and pre-course materials. Enrollment is subject to availability, with courses having maximum capacity limits.
Payment Terms
Course fees must be paid in full before course commencement unless installment arrangements are made in writing. Accepted payment methods include:
- Credit and debit cards
- Bank transfers to specified accounts
- Corporate training vouchers
- SkillsFuture credits for eligible participants
Refund Policy
Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 14 days before course commencement. Cancellations between 7-13 days receive 50% refunds. No refunds are provided for cancellations made less than 7 days before course start or after course commencement. Refunds are processed within 30 business days to the original payment method.
Course Changes and Cancellations
MLForge reserves the right to modify course schedules, change instructors, or cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. Students will be notified at least 7 days in advance of material changes. If MLForge cancels a course, students receive full refunds or credit toward alternative courses.
4. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities
Users must comply with all applicable laws and these terms when using our services. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
Legal Violations
- Violating Singapore or international laws
- Infringing intellectual property rights
- Engaging in fraudulent activities
- Distributing malicious code or malware
Platform Misuse
- Attempting unauthorized system access
- Interfering with service operations
- Scraping or automated data collection
- Reverse engineering platform components
Content Violations
- Sharing course materials without permission
- Recording lectures without authorization
- Submitting plagiarized project work
- Posting offensive or harmful content
Community Standards
- Harassing other students or instructors
- Impersonating others
- Sharing account access credentials
- Disrupting learning environment
Violations may result in account suspension, course expulsion without refund, and legal action if warranted. MLForge reserves the right to determine violations and appropriate responses at its sole discretion.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
MLForge Content Ownership
All course materials, including but not limited to lecture content, code examples, documentation, videos, and assessments, remain the exclusive property of MLForge and its licensors. These materials are protected by Singapore and international copyright laws.
Limited License Grant
Enrolled students receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use course materials solely for personal educational purposes during their enrollment period and for 12 months following course completion. This license does not permit commercial use, redistribution, or public display of materials.
Student Work Ownership
Students retain ownership of original code and projects created during courses. By submitting work for assessment, students grant MLForge a perpetual, royalty-free license to use submissions for educational purposes, including as examples in future courses with appropriate anonymization.
Third-Party Content
Course materials may include third-party libraries, frameworks, and tools subject to their respective open-source or commercial licenses. Students must comply with these licenses when using third-party content in their projects.
6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Service Disclaimers
MLForge training services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding:
- Specific learning outcomes or skill acquisition
- Career advancement or employment opportunities
- Certification value or industry recognition
- Uninterrupted or error-free platform access
- Accuracy or completeness of course content
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, MLForge's total liability for any claims arising from our services is limited to the amount paid by the student for the specific course giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Exclusions
MLForge is not responsible for losses resulting from student misuse of learned techniques, code errors in student projects, infrastructure failures beyond our control, or third-party service interruptions. Students assume all risks associated with applying course knowledge to production systems.
7. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
Before pursuing formal dispute resolution, parties agree to attempt good-faith informal resolution by contacting MLForge at [email protected] with a detailed description of the dispute. We will respond within 10 business days to discuss potential resolution.
Mediation
If informal resolution fails, parties agree to participate in mediation administered by the Singapore Mediation Centre before pursuing litigation. Mediation costs are shared equally unless otherwise agreed.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any legal proceedings arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts. Parties waive any objection to venue or jurisdiction in Singapore courts.
Class Action Waiver
Students agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration against MLForge.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the service relationship with written notice. MLForge reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate accounts for terms violations, fraudulent activity, or behavior harmful to other students or instructors.
Upon termination, students lose access to platform resources and course materials unless otherwise specified in writing. Obligations related to intellectual property, confidentiality, and dispute resolution survive termination. Paid course fees are subject to the refund policy outlined in Section 3.
Students may voluntarily close accounts by contacting support. Account closure does not release students from payment obligations for services already rendered or materials already accessed.
9. Modifications to Terms
MLForge reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days before taking effect. Changes to terms governing active enrollments will not apply retroactively without student consent. Continued use of services after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms. Students who do not accept changes may terminate their accounts and receive pro-rated refunds for unused portions of courses if applicable.
10. General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These terms, together with our privacy policy and cookie policy, constitute the entire agreement between students and MLForge regarding use of our services, superseding all prior agreements and understandings.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed, and remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
No Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.
Assignment
Students may not assign or transfer rights under these terms without MLForge's written consent. MLForge may assign these terms in connection with business transfers, mergers, or acquisitions.
Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or infrastructure failures.
